Hybrid work’s effect on management and managers’ well-being and performance

While there has been a strong focus on safeguarding employees’ well-being and performance post- and during the pandemic, research and practice have paid less attention to how managers experience managing hybrid work, their perceptions of the new role, and the effect on their well-being and performance.

This project aims to explore managers’ experiences when managing people from a distance and acting as hybrid-work managers, particularly the effect on their well-being and performance. Beyond that, the project will explore the organizational causes, enablers, and barriers to supporting the managers and, finally, identify the organizational capabilities needed for efficient hybrid remote management.

The project runs from 2023-2025
